Supply Chain Manager-Fairfield, NJ Facility
Virtex is hiring a Senior Supply Chain Manager that establishes and implements a vision of supply chain excellence. Manages activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in an organization by performing the following Essential Duties and Responsibilities; Other duties may be assigned:
- Manage all aspects of the Material Procurement functions including supervision and coaching of department personnel.
- Builds partnerships with suppliers aimed at improving vendor performance.
- Search, locate and approve new vendors, wherever applicable, with support from Quality and Engineering.
- Quote, negotiate, and secure orders of materials to support production and other internal requirements.

- Experience and knowledge of working with defense contractors and government business is preferred.
- MS Office and ERP/MRP proficiency and understanding preferably Macola or Syteline.

General Manager - Austin, TX Facility

Materials Director - Austin, TX Facility
Develop and manage the external supply base according to Virtex Supply Chain standards. Ensure supplier performance in quality, reliability, cost, and delivery to continuously improve the supply chain. Oversee the execution of the Supplier Management plan.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies focused on consolidation, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Manage supplier selection and oversee activities such as production ramp-up, quality definitions, and first article procedures.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives with partners.
- Negotiate and manage contracts based on long-term planning; resolve issues regarding pricing, deliveries, and specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance and establish measurable goals.

SMT Operator 1 - Austin, TX Facility
• Responsible for the operation of Paste Printers, Pick and Place Machines and Reflow Machines. Responsible for hand placement of components.
- Load Machine Feeders with correct components.
- Operate paste printers for Re-runs.
- Operate Pick and Place machines.
- Perform Reflow operations using correct profiles,
- Hand place correct components.
- Complete daily log book and first article inspection logs.
- Prefer a high School Diploma or 6-12 months experience is similar field.
OPERATIONS MANAGER - Wisconsin Facility
The Operations Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the Manufacturing functions. Responsible for the performance of all departmental functions for SMT, TU, Mechanical, Wave/CC/Selective solder, and Test production areas. Self-starting and driving improvements daily.
- Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, and customer service, along with human utilization for SMT
- Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans
- Presents reports on performance as requested by the General Manager
- Develops and presents to the General Manager matters requiring a decision
- Coordinates and collaborates with the other departments of the corporation in establishing and carrying out responsibilities
- Reviews and approves Operations major projects involving major functional changes within the Department’s functional areas

- Lead and motivate warehouse team member to achieve productivity and performance goals.

The Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and directing all daily activities for manufacturing while supporting quality production. Maintain an open line of communication between manufacturing employees and management.
- Focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity.
- Develops, implements, and enforces operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue.

Machine Operator II - Minnesota Facility
To set up and run jobs on the surface mount machines to completion as indicated in customer specifications.
- Sets the machine up and runs the job until complete as indicated by the customer specifications.
- Inspects work to ensure components are in correct location and polarities are correct to meet customer requirements.
- Performs preventative maintenance on machine to allow for ultimate productivity of machine requirements.
- Responsible for running and monitoring the quality on multiple machines.
- Responsible for tracking time spent on specific jobs by recording time on a time sheet.
- High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) preferred, or related work experience.
- SMT Machine or related machine operation experience, 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
Stock Clerk / Data Entry - Minnesota Facility
To support the operations of the stock room by providing data entry, including job material input and material maintenance.
- Performs computer transactions for production material on specific jobs as well as other additional computer transactions.
- Perform counts with extreme accuracy, keeps accurate and detailed records.
- Pull components from inventory in accordance with the pick list when Virtex has purchased parts.
- Stock material received from receiving inspection into inventory, remove material from inventory to fill customer orders according to bill of material/pick list.
- Verify component value, type, etc., to assure parts meet customer job requirements.
- Verify quantity required to complete a kit to assure quantities meet customer job requirements.
- Record any discrepancies, shortages, or questions regarding the kit on shortage sheets to assure that all parts are available, and questions are answered for manufacturing and notify supervisor or manager of major discrepancies/issues.
- Bake boards as necessary per customer requirements.
- High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) preferred, or 6 plus months related work experience

Process or Manufacturing Engineer - Wisconsin Facility
Engineering, Control and Ownership of processes at Solder paste printing, SMT, Reflow Soldering, Hand Soldering, Through-hole insertion, Conformal Coating, Testing and other Assembly operations.
- Implementation and use of IPC standards, Statistical techniques, TQM, SPC, Process Control, Cellular Flow, JIT, and 5S.
- Improving the Quality and Process Control in day to day manufacturing business activities including any internal and external feedbacks.
- Hands on utilization and understanding of various problem solving tools and active follow up.
- Advanced Product Quality Planning, Customer / Vendor contact, 8D Problem Solving methodology; Flow Charts, Continuous Improvement Plans, Training, Development and Implementation of procedures, Failure Analysis, DFM, Cycle Time / Setup Time reduction.
- Various data collection, reporting and charting.
- Improve manufacturing yields, Reducing Scrap and RMA assemblies.

The Operations Supervisor is 2nd shift, 3:30-11:30pm and will oversee the activities, production, and schedule of the assigned operating shift.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays in shift operations, ensuring shipping deadlines are met.

- Develop and implement supply chain wide plans and programs.

To add components, wires, epoxy, hardware, and modifications to circuit boards and assemble circuit boards into final assemblies per customer requirements.
- Must read and understand technical documents such as customer blueprints, standard operating procedures, and other related documents.
- Add components, wires, epoxy, and hardware to circuit boards using equipment and tools as required such as tweezers, pliers, cutters, solder iron, magnifying light and/or microscope.
- Hand wash areas of the board where sensitive components have been hand soldered.
- Add modifications called out in documents to ensure the board is built to the revision stated in the job folder.
- Install circuit board into final assembly if required by the job folder.
- Maintain daily times worked on specific jobs by scanning in/out of computer and/or keeping daily timesheets when requested. Performs other record keeping as required by department.
